Not too long ago it was announced that , a Japanese beer company will start during the production and disposal process. Now Japan is planning to extend the practice of carbon-labeling to other consumer goods as well.

, consumer goods such as beverages and detergents will carry information about the amount of carbon emissions associated with the production and delivery cycle. The exact number of goods that will be marked with the carbon footprint information is yet to be finalized.
A trade ministry official said:
“We hope that displaying carbon footprints will raise awareness among consumers as well as companies of their emissions and motivate them to emit less C02,”
Other countries that have adopted the system of carbon-labeling products include Britain and France.
