NURRC, FIRST CLIMATE, PEPSICO AND NIKE JOIN NEW YORK SUMMIT


CARBON AND ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT SUPPLY CHAIN SUMMIT 2008
September 15-16, 2008, Westin New York Times Square

The third major Summit in the North American Carbon Footprint series, the New York program taking place this September announces the following new additions to the speaker faculty today:

David Walker, Director of Manufacturing and Logistics, PepsiCo International who will highlight the PepsiCo approach to achieving a product level footprint for their products by discussing the methodologies, partnerships, and processes utilized.

Nike will also participate in the Summit, explaining how they measure the embedded energy in the production of all materials going into their shoes and packaging. Nike’s presentation will cover the entire supply chain, from the energy used to manufacture the footwear, and in transportation and distribution right up to the implications at the end of life.

and have also joined the already phenomenal line up at the Carbon and Environmental Footprint Supply Chain Summit as Sponsors.

NURRC LLC, is the joint venture between The Coca-Cola Company and URRC (United Resource Recovery Corporation) that is expanding the availability of food packaging post consumer PET resins to consumer goods companies in the U.S. Utilizing the most widely used recycling technology  globally from URRC.

First Climate will be hosting a post-conference workshop ‘Integrated GHG Management & Carbon Footprinting’ on September 17. Björn Fischer, Managing Director, First Climate LLC will be the workshop leader, with further input from Dr. Sascha Lafeld, Executive Board Member and Greg Chambers, Vice President, First Climate LLC.
