Ellsin Environmental Ltd is building the world’s first Reverse Polymerization (TM) tire recycling plant by Environmental Waste International (www.ewi.ca). This pilot plant will process 900 tires per day to produce carbon black, tire oil, tire gas, steel and electricity. Ellsin has received funding support from the Ontario Government for this new technology. The operation will qualify for carbon credits and offsets.
The facility is in construction at the company’s Sault Ste Marie Ontario location. Future plans include the expansion of the facility to process up to 60,000 tires per day.
