Over 200 environment-concerned youths participated in the “Get It Green” (GIG) Youth Summit at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts today (November 7) to exchange views on climate change and low carbon living.

Hong Kong (HKSAR) – The following is issued on behalf of the Environmental Campaign Committee: To promote low-carbon living, the Environmental Campaign Committee (ECC) has launched the “Low Carbon Living @ Hong Kong” book series, which encourages different sectors of the community to mitigate the impact of climate change in daily life. The low-carbon living series, which offers green tips to reduce carbon emissions, consists of four books in Chinese targeting four groups: young people, homemakers, the working class and the business sector. Officiating at a ceremony to launch the book series at Discovery Park, Tsuen Wan, today (September 18), the Secretary for the Environment, Mr Edward Yau, said, “A green Hong Kong needs the joint efforts of members of the public.Adopting a low-carbon lifestyle is an easy task and we can start practising it in our daily life.
