Carbon Neutral Products
Each time a Carbon Offsets Daily guest places a subscription order with E Magazine we make the product carbon neutral by purchasing carbon offsets in the amount of $5.00 from CarbonFund.org.
How Does This Work?
When you buy products through Carbon Offsets Daily your purchases are carbon neutral.
This is because for each purchase you make, we put 50% of our profits towards purchasing carbon offsets. We make profit through the affiliate partnerships we have with the companies that are listed here. Affiliates, publishers like us who partner with advertisers such as online retailers, typically earn a 10% to 15% commission of referred sales. For each sale we refer as an affiliate, we take 50% of the commission offered by the advertiser, for example 5%, and use that money to buy carbon offsets. So if you were to purchase a product for $50 and we earn a 10% commission (or $5.00 in this example) then we take half of that 10% (or $2.50 in this example), and turn around and buy $2.50 worth of carbon offsets.
Carbon offsets are purchased from the Carbonfund.org, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
