NEW DELHI: The UNFCCC has put an end to the ambiguity over the nature of the Copenhagen Accord when it clarified that it has “no legal standing”. The January 25 notification from the executive secretary Yvo de Boer has stated that the provisions of the accord “do not have any legal standing within the UNFCCC process even if some parties decide to associate themselves with it.”
