Australian MPs urge PM Kevin Rudd to embrace a carbon tax


The Australian Greens welcomed media reports that five Labor MPs are asking Prime Minister Kevin Rudd to embrace a carbon tax today (Wednesday).

The Greens claim the most effective way to do this would be to adopt their proposal for a levy on the biggest polluters.
