Statistics show S Korea’s carbon emission rises fast in 2007

SEOUL, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) — South Korea’s government statistics showed Monday the country’s carbon dioxide emissions in 2007 zoomed up 2.9 percent year-on-year to 620 million metric tons, the fastest pace in five years.

S Korea to start carbon emissions trading late next year
