GE needs all the help it can get right now, with its stock hurtling closer towards $0 on a daily basis. The company obviously stands to benefit from infrastructure buildout, and from capturing its share of green (energy) dollars. The more wind-turbines we erect, the better for GE.

Clamour grows for Obama climate action

On the eve of Barack Obamas inauguration as US President, appeals on climate change and energy reform are rolling in from around the world. Expectations are high that the early signs of a significant reversal of the Bush Administrations stance on climate policy will start to materialise soon after he takes office this week. And the stakes have only been raised since the onset of recession in much of the developed world in the wake of the global financial crisis.
