With about 60 trucks in its fleet, Drahota Construction estimates its vehicles emit 405 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere every year.
The local construction company knew it needed to do something to offset its carbon footprint so it enrolled in the Colorado Carbon Fund, becoming the first Colorado company to do so since the program launched in late August.
