AEP to Receive Funds From Global CCS Institute for Commercial-Scale Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage Project


COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP) will receive funding from the Global CCS Institute to support installation of the nation’s first commercial-scale carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) system on AEP’s Mountaineer coal-fueled power plant in New Haven, W.Va.
