OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS:
* ECX October volumes reached a total of 412 Mt, exceeding the previous monthly record from July 2008 (346 Mt) and representing a 283% increase over the same month last year.
* Average daily volumes in EUA and CER futures and options averaged nearly 18 Mt (17,928 lots). Screen-traded EUA futures volumes continued to grow and reached a record of 5.6 Mt average daily. Total open interest in ECX products surpassed 500,000 contracts
