MARTIN Tod has joined individuals and groups in Winchester pledging to cut their carbon footprints next year.
The Lib Dem prospective parliamentary candidate for Winchester has signed up to an initiative by environment campaigners that measures participants’ carbon footprints and advises them how to lessen their impact.
Mr Tod, said: “This is a great initiative. It would be great if cutting carbon were to be Winchester’s most popular New Year’s resolution.
“Compared to much of the country and, indeed, most of the world, our average footprint in Winchester is pretty high. I was pleased to see there were some fairly straightforward things I could do to cut it.”
It’s being organised by Winchester Action on Climate Change. For more information visit www.winacc.org.uk/carbon-footprints.
