Feb 13, 2009 – The Entrepreneurship Week – ‘E Week’ with the theme “Go Green! The World is our Business” initiated by the non-profit NEN of the Wadhwani Foundation is expected to have a participation from over 400 institutes and 500,000 students across 30 cities during February 7-14 2009.
As part of the Go Green NEN E Week celebrations at Birla Institute of Technology and Science - BITS Pilani, on 12 February 2009, CEO NextGen PMS Abhishek Humbad gave a talk on carbon credits, carbon footprints, the challenges and opportunities in tapping renewable energy. He explained in detail as to how in the new movement to go green, which one hears and sees it all around, companies are buying green power and offsetting their carbon footprint with carbon credits.
It was an eye opener, when he pointed out how his company NextGen PMS http://nextgenpms.com/ has been going about doing its business. Humbad concluded his talk stating that carbon trading is one of the fastest growing specialties in financial services and that hundreds of thousands of companies are looking to go green this year alone, and are turning to green consultants to help them.
