The US EPA is inviting Freight and Logistics Companies, as well as their clients and suppliers, to join a voluntary initiative to reduce carbon and nitrogen emissions under the “SmartWay” Logo.

Following the lead of Global market giants such as The Hewlett Packard Company, AIRDEX INTERNATIONAL, INC. now seeks to offer similar positive environmental benefits to international shippers through significant cargo weight reductions and reduced cargo damage; and AIRDEX is encouraging others to join the “SmartWay” initiative with a certainty of positive results with AIRDEX products. Further info visit www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom.

The new ultra-lightweight AIRpallet™ from AIRDEX removes from 30-50 lbs. of needless dead wood weight from every pallet load of cargo while adding benefits of shock protection, thermal insulation, waterproofing, and increased cargo and aircraft safety to airfreight shipments. These weight reductions directly cut fuel costs and related CO2 emissions at meaningful levels. Over one million audited AIRDEX shipments, report ZERO cargo damage attributable to the AIRpallet™.

Since early 2006 AIRDEX has been providing its new technology, hybrid plastic pallets to leading computer companies such as HP, Toshiba, AMD, ASUS, and most of the major ODM’s producing IT products in Asia, focusing on air cargo shipments to Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and North American markets.

With several factories providing daily JIT supplies to these major brands, AIRDEX reports solid performance in service, quality, and cost, replacing wood pallets, related weight, environmental, ISPM-15 and customs inefficiencies.

Founder and Chairman, Vance Seagle, comments, “While AIRDEX is proud of our product’s benefits, our full story includes total responsible care through our global network of recapture, repair, recycling, and environmental sustainability partnerships.”

AIRDEX is exhibiting its remarkable new AIRpallet™ at the International Freight Week in Abu Dhabi from 11-23 to 11-25 and at the PROMAT International Material Handling show in Chicago, January 12-15, 2009. From January 29-30, 2009, AIRDEX will also be exhibiting at the Supply Chain and Logistics/INTERPHEX Trade Show in Puerto Rico. AIRDEX welcomes all international shippers to learn more about how they can save shipping costs and carbon emissions with a promise that AIRDEX pallets will be “cost-free in a single air freight journey” and return additional positive cash and environmental benefits.
