Plans for a new supermarket, billed as “a front runner for a new generation of low carbon buildings”, have been approved, reports Construction Enquirer.
The new Morrisons store in Peterborough will the the first to be lit entirely by low-energy LED lighting and roof windows will provide the store with natural daylight. A solar wall will be used to “heat up air in voids within the cladding” says Construction News, then that heat will be used in store.
