WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Around a dozen key U.S. House Democrats are pressing their leaders to give away a majority of the greenhouse gas emission allowances in a major new climate bill to protect oil, coal-fired power and other energy industries, a senior Democrat lawmaker said Thursday.
