Nations Capping Carbon Emissions Mocked as ‘Suckers’ at Climate Change Conference… With Suckers

COPENHAGEN, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Hundreds of candy suckers are being distributed at the U.N. climate change conference in Copenhagen, Denmark today to mock nations that are imposing harsh limits on their carbon emissions at great economic cost for little or no environmental benefit. Singapore says to curb CO2, steps depend on U.N. pact

SINGAPORE (Reuters) – Wealthy Singapore, a global refining and manufacturing hub, will do more to curb its carbon emissions but additional steps depend on the shape of a broader pact to fight climate change, a top diplomat said on Tuesday.
