Carbon reduction targets too low: Africa

Developed nations have set their carbon reductions targets too low, according to African climate change negotiator Lumumba Di-Aping. Di-Aping has identified Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown as two leaders who have played politics rather than committed to an agreement.

UK universities to be carbon neutral by 2050

UK universities are being told to go completely carbon neutral by 2050.
A joint consultation by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), Universities UK and GuildHE has put forward a number of suggestions for more eco-friendly universities.
