L’Oreal has inaugurated the first European industrial process based on a sustainable energy. Located in Libramont, Belgium, the production site is supposed to be independent of the public electricity and natural gas grid and can provide in its own energy needs.

Belgian watchdog seeks end to utility CO2 windfalls

AMSTERDAM, Jan 21 (Reuters) – Belgian authorities must act to prevent utilities from making windfall profits by passing on the cost of carbon emission rights to consumers, the country’s energy market regulator CREG said on Wednesday.
