West Palm Beach, Fla.-based-InJet LLC, a provider of private jet services, is partnering with TerraPass, a consumer retailer and marketer of greenhouse gas reduction offsets.
Through the partnership, InJet members can subscribe to offset the carbon emissions from their flights. Private jets emit approximately 2 metric tons to 5 metric tons of carbon dioxide per hour, according to InJet.
To offset these emissions, InJet members are offered the option to enroll in the program for a fee. Proceeds are then invested in projects, such as wind farms, that offset greenhouse gases.
