Broker markets emissions offsets from Valley dairies

| Sourced From |

It was announced today that the methane carbon offsets produced by 28 Valley dairies the biggest agriculture offset basket to date will be marketed exclusively by the UK-based broker, Tradition.

The 28 Dairy Methane projects in the Valley have been successfully validated through the Voluntary Carbon Standard and a portion of their offsets have already been allocated to buyers.

Revenues produced through the sale of offsets will help support family-run dairies during the difficult economic times.

The offsets are produced through sustainable manure management practices that avoid or reduce methane production from anaerobic manure management systems, and are purchased by countries, companies or individuals to compensate for their greenhouse gas emissions.

Tradition is a subsidiary of Compagnie Financiere Tradition that worked with L2i Financial Solutions Consultant to originate the project.
