The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) has launched a call for tenders for a study on prospective energy efficiency and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions scenarios for the iron and steel industry.
The aim of the open call is to award a contract for an in-depth analysis of technological innovation that could take place in the iron and steel sector in the EU’s 27 Member States and to quantify its impact on the sector’s energy efficiencies, CO2 emissions profile and cost-competitiveness up to 2030.
