is all set to become a carbon offset provider with the for individuals and businesses. A web-based application is being developed through which consumers will be able to calculate their CO2 emissions and then purchase carbon offsets to mitigate the impact of those emissions on the environment. If the beta version of the application runs successfully, the company will introduce the full-fledged application later in the year.

Sunrise Solar is a Texas based alternative energy firm and the revenues earned through its carbon offset initiative will be used to subsidize the costs of providing solar technology and equipment. The objective is to promote the use of alternative energy among those who wouldn’t have been able to afford it at regular prices.
