Australias first carbon neutral golf championship

Continuing its tradition of leading by example, the PGA of Australia today announced that the 2008 Cadbury Schweppes Australian PGA Championship will be a CARBON NEUTRAL event.

It is believed to be the first time a major golfing championship has undertaken such a stance, the move underlining the PGAs commitment to pursuing sustainable methods of operations.

The PGA has formed a licensing arrangement with two companies to be their official partners in this endeavour who provide independently verifiable analysis of the championships carbon footprint. e-par
