Equate Petrochemical Co., a joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Co. of Kuwait and Dow Chemical Co., has announced that it intends to capture 450 tons of carbon dioxide from its existing facilities on a daily basis starting 2012.
As part of the plan, Equate Petrochemical will supply the CO2 to Greencarbon Co. W.L.L, a local partner in the $65 million project, which it will then use for downstream industries such as beverages and food.
