CALGARY, Alberta, Dec 18 (Reuters) - TransCanada Corp (TRP.TO) is joining power generator TransAlta Corp TA.TO in a major Alberta carbon capture and storage proposal to provide expertise in pipelines to the project, TransAlta said on Thursday.
